Privacy Policy

Who we are

Knockhaus is a door-to-door sales platform operated by Knockhaus, Inc. (“Knockhaus,” “we,” “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our iOS app or web application at knockhaus.app, how we use it, and the rights you have over that data.

Information we collect

Knockhaus is used by sales reps to canvas neighborhoods. To make that work, we collect:

  • Account data. Your name, email, role, and the organization(s) you belong to.
  • Location data. With your permission, we use your device location to place pins you drop, GPS-stamp knocks you log (so your organization can verify field activity), and power “nearby” features. When you start a shift, the app records your route continuously — including while your phone is locked — until you end the shift or it auto-ends after inactivity. Your route and, during a shift, your live position are visible to your organization (for example, your manager). Location is never recorded outside an active shift beyond the actions you take (dropping a pin, logging a knock). We also use on-device motion activity (walking / driving / stationary) solely to reduce GPS battery drain; motion data never leaves your device.
  • Pin and activity data.Addresses you pin, disposition changes, notes and photos you attach, and voice notes — which are transcribed on your device using Apple’s Speech framework; the resulting text note is what syncs. These records are associated with your active organization and visible to other members of that org per your role.
  • Contacts (optional). If you use features that invite people from your address book, you pick the specific contacts on-device. Only the contacts you explicitly select are used; your address book is never uploaded or scanned.
  • Identity verification and pay (optional). If your organization requires identity verification or pays you through Knockhaus, documents and banking details are collected directly by our payment processors (see below) — sensitive identifiers like your SSN and full bank credentials are held by those processors, not stored by Knockhaus.
  • Device and diagnostics. iOS version, model, app version, crash and error logs. We use these to debug issues — they are not sold or shared for advertising.

How we use it

  • To operate the product — show you your pins, your team’s activity, your leaderboards and contests.
  • To deliver push notifications for follow-ups, appointments, rank changes, and cancellation rescue.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
  • To improve the product in aggregate — never by tracking you across third-party services.

Who we share it with

We share data with a small number of vetted processors that are contractually bound to our privacy standards:

  • Supabase — our primary database and authentication provider.
  • Mapbox — to render maps and compute routes.
  • Apple Push Notification service — to deliver push notifications.
  • Resend — for transactional email (confirmations, password resets).
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting so we can fix bugs.
  • Stripe — identity verification and payout processing when your organization uses those features; Stripe holds the underlying sensitive documents and bank details.
  • DocuSeal / BoldSign — electronic signatures on documents you send or sign.
  • Telnyx — SMS delivery for invites and notifications.

We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build third-party ad profiles.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your personal data at any time:

  • Delete your account. Open the app → Account → Danger zone → Delete account. We sever access immediately and permanently purge your personal data within 30 days.
  • Data you’ve created for your employer. Pin data, activity, and photos you created on behalf of an organization are the property of that organization and will not be deleted with your account. Contact your org owner to request deletion of organization-owned records.
  • Request a copy. Email privacy@knockhaus.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

Data in transit uses TLS 1.2+. Data at rest in Supabase is encrypted per their platform guarantees. Row-Level Security is enforced server-side on every tenant-scoped table — members of one organization cannot read or write data in another.

Children

Knockhaus is not intended for children under 13 and is designed for professional use by sales reps and managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify active users through the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
